Debunking ‘The Shuk-den Affair: Origins of a Controversy’

The Dalai Lama and his anti-Shugden associates have lost yet more ground to stand on in the battle for the truth about Dorje Shugden. The scholar, Trinley Kalsang, has launched a new site which debunks Dorje Shugden myths created by the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government in Exile. Trinley states on the home page that “There is an overwhelming amount of evidence of texts supporting Shugden before Pabongkha (1878-1943), yet almost no one seems interested in it, and of course the detractors benefit greatly from the “murky origins” of this practice.”

So he’s taken the academic approach to refuting Georges Dreyfus’ The Shuk-den Affair: Origins of a Controversy and making the history and origins of Dorje Shugden available on the internet.

Here’s the website: Dorje Shugden History
