When I first saw this article, I thought it was Robert Thurman’s response to the open letter from the Western Shugden Society. The title of the article is “Shugden Worshippers – The Buddhist Taliban” on a website called unmadeinchina. Robert Thurman has become infamous among Shugden practitioners for his statement in Newsweek in 1997: “It would not be unfair to call Shugdens the Taliban of Tibetan Buddhism.”
The article doesn’t actually say who the author is, but the intentions of this article are clear. It is attempt to brew hatred in the minds of Tibetans toward the NKT and Shugden practitioners in general by using the hatred many Tibetans already have toward the Chinese.
Here’s a few quotes from the article
In 1991, a senior monk named Kelsang Gyatso established a new Dorje Shugden order based in England, calling it the New Kadampa Tradition. (The NKT does not consider itself a form of Tibetan Buddhism.) The practice promised spiritual rewards for cash, which helped trigger problems with the Dalai Lama. Shugden can basically be considered a revival movement within the Geluk tradition. Shugden is considered the protector, not just of individual practitioners, but of the integrity of the Geluk tradition as conceived by its most conservative elements – for which they have been called “the Taliban of Buddhism.”
This smear that the NKT encourages people to give their money to the organization has been refuted many times. Who in the NKT has ever said practitioners could receive spiritual rewards for cash?
Chinese “Buddhist” organizations connected with NKT – such as the Buddhist Association of China (BAC) – use the agency New China to proclaim H.H. the Dalai Lama to be a “superstitious dictator” who holds his people in subjugation.
Where do they get this stuff? I’ve been involved in the NKT for 7 years and I’ve never even heard of the Buddhist Association of China before. If this was true, wouldn’t it be important for them to show some evidence of this connection? It is not true. So there is no evidence.
Not only that, but the Western Shugden Society calls the Dalai Lama a “religious dictator” not a “superstitious dictator”.
Could followers of Shugden have “infiltrated” the famous March 2008 clashes in which the Chinese alleged that some overexcited “monks” acted in ways that are in complete antithesis to Buddhism, but which are advocated by Shugden? Certainly, a fundamentalist sect which trains young monks – especially ones who may be open to using violence is very convenient for the forces of the Chinese occupation.
What will happen to Tibet if the non-violent Buddhism preached and defended by the Dalai Lama dies out and Shugden fundamentalism takes root?
Shugden’s mask may hide an even more terrible one: that of the CCP and of Hu Jintao. And His Holiness the Dalai Lama may be man they are trying to crush.
Can you believe that they are actually blaming Shugden practitioners for the March riots in Tibet? Everyone knows that it’s the Dalai Lama’s followers who hate the Chinese and engage in violent behavior towards them.
They accuse Shugden practitioners of both siding with China and fighting against them. It seems that Shugden practitioners have become the scapegoat for all the problems of the Tibetan Government in Exile.

Dorjeshugdentruth mentions the Phayhul forum. Phayhul is hosted by a Tibetan who was financially supported by the Tibet Society’s entrepreneurial support fund. Are you surprised by such stuff on this site? – I have read them posting all sorts of hate, including private addresses of opponents of the Dalai Lama. Do the people who give to the Tibet Society know where their money is going – or UK taxpayers whose Gift Aid supports them.

This is the state of affairs when dealing with Tibetans. At best we’re dealing with a second generation of slaves and serfs mentality. Subjugated to the iron clad will of the Dalia Lama Lineage for some 400 years. We have primitive Tribalism up aganist the Western Concepts of Individual Freedoms.
Subjected a sort of Third Reich authoritarianism of Feudal War Lords masquerading as Holy Lamas acting as the beneficent OverLord of a remote backward feifdom of the Chinese Empire.
The Dalia Lama have literally had centuries to rewrite the history.
Unfortunately for them, the actual scholars have now had time to investigate more thorougly the actual hidden history of Tibet and it’s neighbors. We increasingly find that the images and stories to hold up to actual scholarly scrutiny. We find horror stories of civil war amongst the five schools within Mahayanna Buddhism.
We find a benign shadow lurking beneath the robe that little resembles the actual posture and mind of a practioner, let alone a lama. A man in robes lying and denying any acts od kindness even to his own people. He throws out old loyal friends as one sweeps out the kitchen floor. Why is he afraid? Why is he afraid to even discuss? Because…………..
We find a War Lord’s history that rival the brutality of Southern Plantation in the United States, during the Slave Period of our history. Mutilations and boilings of every kind. Horrors…to cruel to describe,

The Fifth Dalai Lama achieved political power through the Mongolian ruler, Gushri Khan who helped him to fight a civil war against the Karma Tenkyong Wangpo, the principal ruler of Tibet.
Requested by the Fifth Dalai Lama, Gushri Khan sent the Mongolian army into Tibet, and as a result Karma Tenkyong Wangpo was murdered and the Fifth Dalai Lama won the war.
The Fifth Dalai Lama was the founder of this Lama Policy, which he named ‘the union of religion and politics’. The nature of ‘Lama Policy’ is deceptive; its function is to mislead people and to use religion for political aims.
During the Fifth Dalai Lama’s time, there was a Lama called Ngatrul Dragpa Gyaltsen, who was recognized as an emanation of the Buddha of Wisdom. People throughout Tibet had great faith in Ngatrul Dragpa Gyaltsen and the Mongolian ruler Gushri Khan was especially devoted to him.
Because of this, even though the Fifth Dalai Lama had political power, Ngatrul Dragpa had spiritual power. These two Lamas had different views and intentions; Ngatrul Dragpa rejected the Lama Policy of the union of religion and politics. He wanted Buddhism to be maintained purely without being used for worldly aims, but the Fifth Dalai Lama was opposed to this. Afraid that Ngatrul Dragpa would take the position of the Fifth Dalai Lama through receiving help from ministers of the Mongolian ruler, the Fifth Dalai Lama and his ministers secretly murdered Ngatrul Dragpa.
Tenzin Gyatso Norbu is simply a, “Wolf In Sheep Robe! A War Lord in Disguise, Masquerading as a Holy Lama. Which he is not!

Some of us realize that Tenzin Gyatso Norbu is a deceitful self cherishing incarnate of a Feudal War Lord, that slaughtered his own people to seize and maintain control of the different approaches to the Teachngs Of Lord Buddha.
Some of us realize that he is the antithesis of a man who trampels daily by his ignorance or attempts to undermine the underpinning of the Bill Of Rights and Civil Liberties of the People.
The Dharma Flourishes because, it has a home that respects and protects the rights of all to believe as they choose.
This schism only magnified his abbhorrence of individual thought to reason and find the way to the truth that Lord Buddha taught to us.
He prefers to lie and deceive and use the mouthpiece of Bob Thurman to validate his claims, that he actually speaks from the truth.
They have no weapons to use against the WSS,or any of us!

Nothing that has been said, can be disproved or proved within cetain disciplines.

We did nothing to deserve this abuse, and he says nothing that justifies His Lies and Abuse to Those Suffering due to his activities to maintain his power base.
He is not a Buddha, and Lies with the Ease of a Mississippi River Boat Gambler.
Not all of us are scholars or well versed, but we have the common sense that Lord Buddha attributed to we mere mortals, to reason ourselves out of ignorance and find liberation one day.
The only loss of credibility is his and Bob’s incessant lying and deception they spew from their mouths each and everyday.
Only by the tenacious and continuous fortitude of each and every voice resonating with protest that he speak the truth. We expect even from the least of us.
Lord Buddha by all accounts, fought against the status of deceit and lying of other intent to have their self cherishing lifestyles. Maintained by the suppression of others by perverting the truths and creating all manners of maras to keep it that way.
This is a Democracy and not all voices may speak as you wish, but we speak with sincerity and a desire to eliminate ignorance and lies that hinder all from the seeking the way home safely.
I hope they challenge any of us publically with a rational and logical defense of their actions and try to defend this insanity on the Global forum for All to Witness.
If they had a leg to stand on, he would have courageously pursued it already.
They have not, nor do they intend to confront you or me or anyone else directly.
Instead they have Death Squads slinking down dark alley ways, and then have the audacity to point the finger at us.
He cannot hold his own, unless he is speaking to his ‘Chorus of Supporters’.
